Alysha & Shawn

This wedding was held at beautiful Saxe Point in Esquimalt, under an exceptional cloudy sky. Alysha looked glamorous! She definitely had that blushing bride thing going on. Shawn looked handsome too, dressed in the same wool suit that his father was married in. They were both extremely photogenic, Shawn especially should consider doing some test modeling (I may be asking him to model for my fashion portfolio soon). He works at the legislature, so we were actually able to photograph inside the building in the restricted areas! Unfortunately the grand library was off-limits but I did manage to get a funky shot of them behind a stained glass window with my off-camera flash (about as technical as I get) it’s one of my favorite images this season.
The wedding itself had a very relaxed vibe, the reception was held at Saxe as well, complete with picnic blankets and a tower of mom’s old-fashioned cupcakes instead of cake! I thought those were some original ideas, everyone enjoyed being outside, basking by the sea and enjoying good company.
