Cydnie & Matt {Victoria wedding}

I’d like to start by saying that the perfect man actually does exist, but he is taken by a certain beautiful Cydnie. These two have had eachother’s hearts for longer than they knew, and after they were together for one year, it made sense at that point in their lives to move in together. In case Cydnie may have been feeling anxious about this big step, Matt composed for her a scrapbook of their memories of the past year together. Fast-forward 6 years, and Matt is making Cyd breakfast (oh yeah, and he does this every sunday morning) with breakfast came another scrapbook, this time detailing the past six years together. Then there was another book, empty but the first page, which was a photo of the ring. We can all let it out now: aww! That’s one of my favorite engagement stories.

The wedding was such a collection of friends and family – there were 14 people in the wedding party! It was challenging and exciting to pose everyone. It also proved to come with it’s own wedding party traditions, as most of the girls have been in eachother’s wedding parties already. This includes shots of fireball pre-ceremony and the elevator ride brings a chorus of “going to the chapel” so much fun! Held at The Inn at Laurel Point, the ceremony had a fantastic backdrop of their Japanese garden and ocean beyond. Between the ceremony and the reception, they had this amazing massive “party” bus, it was seriously a night club on wheels! So cool.

Cyd’s mom put all the flowers together (she looked radiant) and Cyd’s dad, Jim, was the M/C (and is also a budding photographer!). There was so much love in that room – and so many tears. I’ve never seen so much crying! To be honest, I was sniffling behind my lens, thankful for the camouflage.
