Allison + Adam [Langley BC Wedding]

August 13, 2013

I was eager to work with Allison right away! She has the most amazing spunky and genuine personality. Adam was a sure reflection of this, with an equal wit. It was a joy to photograph their easy chemistry.

Allison’s mom and both of their families were amazingly hospitable and fun, by the end of the night I was actually energized (even joined a congo train behind grandma!).

The wedding was held at Adam’s mother’s beautiful backyard in Langley, complete with a perfect white wedding gazebo and suited golden retriever and his pug-tutu sidekick! Allison’s late father was there in spirit via a sentimental framed portrait of him on his seat.

The wedding colours were grey and yellow, complete with Trend Suspenders and an actual bride and groom cake topper (cannot believe I haven’t seen one of those yet). The reception was at Murrayville Hall, a new location for me and I loved the rustic vibe of this heritage building. We stuck with the heritage vibe and did their bridal party and romantic portraits at Fort Langley National Historic Site. I absolutely loved all of the cottages and potential at this location! I could shoot there all day.

It was a beautiful day full of perfect times and good company, I’ll let the images and slideshow emote what I cannot describe in words.

I was especially impressed with their DJs, The Music Caterer who were amazing to work with, had great tunes and knew how to get the crowd going!
