Michael & Robyn {Victoria wedding}

September 16, 2010

Remember those two kids from that awesome engagement shoot? Well, they had the most enchanted wedding – the venues and details were straight out of a fairytale! The ceremony was held at the ornate St.Anne’s Academy. It was my first wedding there and I was blown away! So many great places to shoot, and the vaulted ceiling is so character. The vibe continued with the details, Robyn’s dress was romantically beaded and lacy (let’s take a second here to gawk at her TINY waist. That’s what you get when you dance on cruiseships!) and the rings were engraved with “for a lifetime of fireworks” and on Robyns, “You are adored” so cute! The reception took place at the Union Club – another first time for me, and hopefully not the last. It was so hard to narrow down the images that I wanted to post on this blog!

Robyn’s mom made all the bridesmaids dresses, and Mike’s dad provided his vintage Cadillac for cruising in style. Unfortunately, old cars can be a bit temperamental (as I know all too well). Jesse and I  turned the corner to find Mike pushing the car up a hill on the way to the reception! So, I squeezed the two into the backseat of my Volkswagen bug and we carried on (with Mike’s parent’s to follow soon after). You can check out Jesse’s stellar shots of the day here!

Mike and Robyn were one of my favorite couples this season, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting them on a few occassions. I can’t say it enough though, I don’t know how these people are finding me, but I must be getting good karma from somewhere, since I have been so blessed with great client after great client. It was great working with these two lovebirds, they are really hilarious together and compliment each other in a way that is seldom witnessed.

For those who attended the wedding, please note the password on your photo card that you received at the reception so you can access the online gallery.

The guests at this event were something else! Robyn and Mike held a photo contest at the reception to see who could get the best group photo.
