What can I say? This wedding had all the perfect elements – a killer location in one of my favourite places (Tofino), fog, good food, a hot couple totally crazy about each other and a room full of love for them. Even the groomsmen were crying during the speeches. I caught my assistant shedding a couple behind her camera (I’ve been there – silently grateful that my DSLR is massive and hides most of my face).
Ange and Rob are the real deal. I could plainly see that when I photographed their engagement session last month. They are all about their dog Kona and Rob’s two adorable children, Belle and Cade. Those two cleaned up nicely for the wedding and Belle had some ridiculous amazing dance moves!
The day was perfect – the ceremony was clouded in super thick fog on Chesterman’s Beach which lended itself to some pretty stellar images! Later in the evening we back-lit the couple and I think I would like a fog cloud to follow me around at weddings from now on! Magical.
The ceremony was at The Shore and had some amazing details thanks to Sheila from Rare Earth Weddings!
After the 12 hour day, my assistant and I enjoyed roasting s’mores on the beach with the wedding party until dawn. This is why I love the west coast!
