[ Wedding Photography in Victoria BC ] Tiffany + Aaron
One of the reasons I love my job in wedding photography, is an opportunity to meet new people. I love getting to know them and to hear their wonderful tales. And I enjoy helping them share their stories through creative images. (click here to see my portfolios)
I have known Tiffany for 2 years now. It has been great time and I am very happy to have gotten to know her. I first met tiffany through her sister Daphne, whose headshot I took about 2 years ago. Daphne also took my Lens Lessons, the beginner photography courses for the hobbyist ready to take their skills to the next level. Then, last September we did a public call for a model for a style shoot, and Tiffany applied to be the model. After that Tiffany joined my gym, CrossFit LoLo. Since then I got to know Tiffany day by day as she came to workout at the gym.
I was really excited when she asked me to be her wedding photographer and it was very rewarding. Of course, before the wedding there is a bachelorette party. The fun started at the gym. We wore sashes during the workout and had a blast.
The Wedding
As the wedding location, Tiffany + Aaron without any hesitation chose the brides family home. It’s pretty rare when someone grows up in one house. I am thankful that every Christmas, I get to be with my family in the same house that we’ve celebrated the last 30 in. Tiffany, my first bride of the year and I have this in common. And her wedding was straight out of “Father of the Bride”. Her father spent the last 7 months re-siding the house and renovating the garden to create the most beautiful backyard wedding. The wedding was set exactly 4 years to the day of their first date! Her entire family contributed to the food, bar and music, right down to a tube tv karaoke machine!
Yet another exciting thing about this wedding was that Adam, my fiancé, second shot this wedding with me. It was first time for us working together in such context and it was wonderful to dive into this new experience with him. This was so adorable and it felt like dream come true.
I believe that wedding photography is all about story telling. Tiff told me once that she used to hang out on the roof of the house and watch the stars as a teenager. And being an adventurous country girl, she loved my suggestion of a rooftop moment on her wedding night. This is what dreams are made of ✨
