Headshot-a-thon for Haiti

April 12, 2016

Haiti has always had a place in my heart, especially since having the oppourtunity to visit an orphanage in Port-Au-Prince a couple of years ago.

Six years ago, an earthquake devastated much of the poverty-stricken nation, taking the lives of almost half a million Haitians and destroying thousands of schools.

My friend and inspiring colleague, Jamie Delaine started an amazing organization last year called The School Sessions. The School Sessions exists to partner individuals with photographers worldwide to build a school in Haiti.

During the month of April, photographers are encouraged to book a portrait session and donate 100% of the proceeds to building a brand new facility for the ECCA School. In 2015, The School Sessions hosted their first global fundraiser. We helped us raise over $45,000 and purchased new land for the future ECCA School. Together in 2016, we have a goal of $150,000 to fund the new building costs.

That’s where we come in – I figured headshots were a way to include everyone and get as many people involved as possible! It’s a great excuse and affordable oppourtunity for all professions and teams, spaces are limited so please contact me to book yours!
